May 2013

Greetings from in situ studio!

Once again another month has flown by. We are loving our new space and our new partners: Jeremy Leonard, as a full time employee, and So & So Books, who have moved into our storefront! With upcoming events and lots of construction underway, we are keeping busy! See below for more details!

Thanks for your continuing support!

Modern Atlanta Tour

We are honored to be included on this year’s Modern Atlanta homes tour! Two of our projects, Stoneridge and the Chasen Residence are part of the tour this year. The tour happens tomorrow, 06 01 13, from 10:00am-4:00 pm. Learn more and purchase tickets here. And, if you are in the Charlotte area this evening, please join us at a 6:00 pm talk titled “Modern Design in the South,” hosted by Modern Atlanta at Design Within Reach.

Book[s] of the Month

So and So Books is up and running, and books are selling! We have enjoyed having a steady stream of visitors coming through the office and hope you will find some time to come browse the selection yourself. Books are for sale during our normal business hours, Monday-Friday 9:00 am-6:00 pm, and Charles and Chris are posting other evening and weekend hours via social media. Follow them on twitter and Facebook to stay up to date.

TMH Thirst for Architecture

On Thursday, May 16th, Triangle Modernist Houses hosted a Thirst for Architecture event at our new office space! The event drew a healthy crowd of almost 200 people who came to see our new space, celebrate architecture, and welcome So & So Books! Many thanks to all who dropped by to enjoy a fun evening with us. We are already looking forward to our next event!

Jeremy Leonard is Full time!

We are so happy to announce that Jeremy Leonard has joined our office on a full-time basis! Jeremy worked with us last summer and on a part-time basis throughout the past year, as he finished his 5th-year degree in architecture at the NCSU College of Design. Jeremy brings a wealth of design talent to our office, having just been awarded both the AIA Henry Adams Medal and the Faculty Design Award. Jeremy also keeps us fresh not the music scene, drawing from his continuing role as a DJ for 88.1 WKNC.

Please contact us if there is any way we can help you.

Best.
