Edenton Street UMC asked us to help them find a location for a new church community. We identified a historic complex of buildings on Blount and Morgan - a mash-up of four buildings, built between 1905 and 1986 and wearing Post-Modern garb. The existing complex was a maze of hallways, offices, and inaccessible spaces. A corner garden was hidden from view and neglected. We created a sanctuary in the old warehouse building, made an entry through the garden, and traced an accessible route throughout the complex. The buildings now accommodate weekly community events and seven hundred people at Sunday worship.
